Wednesday 17th April. Poole Poetry Group. 7.30pm. John will give a talk/workshop on performing poetry.



Thursday 9th May, afternoon. Verwood Townswomen's Guild. 'Round the World Without Flying' - talk and book signing.


Thursday 23rd May, 7.30pm, Upton Library, Dorset. John will MC a Story Slam in aid of the library. Competitors will be expected to read their stories, which should not be longer than five minutes.  Email scripts to or post to Upton Library, Corner House, Upton Cross, Dorset BH16 5PN.  No fee to compete. Entrance on the evening is £2 for all except Friends for Upton Library, who may pay 50p. 


Friday 31st September. 7.30am, The Magnus Colbourne Hall, Porchester. John will address the Goldingham Club on 'Making People Smile' and hopes to do so. The talk will be illustrated with a slide. There will be no book singing. Be there, or be somewhere else!


Wednesday 9th October. Probus of Sturminster Newton. 'Journey Around the World Without Using Air Transport'. Talk and book signing.
